So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.
Bahá’u’lláh
As an independent world religion, we celebrate nine holy days throughout the year from Naw-Rúz (Bahá’í New Year) to the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh. Learn more
Every nineteen days we meet to share the Bahá’í readings, socialize and come together as a community. Discover more
With no rituals or ceremonies, we gather together with friends and neighbour to read prayers and readings in a spirit of communal worship. Learn more
Working with the materials created by the training institute, we study together to deepen our knowledge of the faith and gain spiritual insight and practical skills to help support our communities. Learn more
With our commitment to finding common ground, we work closely with other religious groups as one of the founding members of the Stockport Interfaith Group. The Stockport community is also driven to serve the greater Stockport community through our own local initiatives including:
Community service projects
social action
junior youth programmes
and even children’s classes.
As a small, friendly community, we don’t have a separate Bahá’í centre but instead take turns hosting events in Gatley Hill House, our homes and other venues.
If you’re curious about us, would like to join one of our events or partner with us on a project, please reach out to our secretary at LSA@stockportbahais.org.uk for more information.
